Let’s be honest, vulnerability can feel like a luxury these days. Most of the time, we’re just trying to get through the day-to-day stuff of life. Talking about the deeper things? That doesn’t always feel safe or easy.
In our latest podcast episode, we had an honest conversation about where we’re really at. We talked about shame. We talked about apathy. And we realized, we’re probably not the only ones wrestling with these quiet, heavy things.
Shame often shows up uninvited and at the worst times. It hides behind perfectionism and self-doubt. Before we even realize it, we’re spiraling, criticizing ourselves, replaying mistakes, and feeling like we’re never quite enough. It’s exhausting.
We’ve learned (and are still learning) that shame loses some of its power when we bring it into the light. Prayer, good community, and especially confession have been a lifeline. They help take that feeling of “blah” and turn it into something you can actually move through.
If you’re feeling weighed down by shame or stuck in apathy, we see you. We’ve been there too. There’s no shame in the struggle-only an invitation to step out of hiding and into grace.
